The Black and Gold tennis team dropped their 14th match of the season April 9, falling 6-3 to No. 30 Georgia College at UNCP’s Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Braves picked up an early win in No. 2 doubles before dropping four of their singles matches in the home finale.
The loss moved the Braves to just 2-10 in the Peach Belt Conference as the team sits in 11th place with no more matches left on the conference slate.
Georgia College earned the day’s first win in No. 3 doubles, as the Bobcats’ team of Adriana Acuna and Linda Mosa downed the UNCP tandem of Christian Minnick and Maricel Quintero-Prieto 8-4.
The Braves would earn their first win in No. 2 doubles, as Meredith Pierson and Mia Winterbottom defeated Kayla Barksdale and Carolina Seabolt handily at 8-3.
